Many free calendar apps are funded by advertising or by analysing usage data. For a family calendar that means your family’s events, names and daily routines become part of a business model.

TidTil takes a different route. The app shows no ads and does not analyse your personal data for advertising purposes. Development is funded through the optional family subscription – not through your calendar data.

No account, no extra password

TidTil has no account of its own. There’s nothing to register, no email address to hand over and no extra password to manage. Once installed, you can create your first event straight away.

For its cloud features TidTil uses Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure – the account you already have on your iPhone.

Your events stay in your iCloud

TidTil runs no servers of its own for your calendar data. Your calendar and profile data live in your personal iCloud, and personal data is not sold or analysed for advertising purposes.

When you send feedback from the app, calendar, family and profile data are not included.

Private stays private

Not every event belongs in the shared calendar. When you create one, you decide for each individual event whether it stays private or is visible to the family. Private events are stored separately from family events and aren’t visible to other family members.

What TidTil costs – and what it doesn’t

On your own device TidTil stays free for good: create and manage events and see them in the daily overview, no subscription needed.

The only paid part is family sharing, which lets you invite family members and sync events with each other: €1.99 per month or €19.99 per year. One subscription covers your entire family – not every member needs their own.
